A new game starts as a clean workspace. You can research competitors, recreate hooks and build variations from the moment you log in. The steps below are in priority order, so work down from the top and stop wherever you have what you need.

Upload your brand assets

Brand assets are pictures of your game: your characters, props and art style. The AI looks at them when it builds a hook, so your ads come out looking like your game.Go to Admin panel → Games, open your game, and select Edit brand assets. Add your images and give each one a clear, unique name.Doing this first is worth it, because every hook your team generates afterwards draws on this library. See Brand assets for what to upload and how to name it.

Define your custom properties

Custom properties are your own tags for the files in Projects, such as creative concept, style or content type. You name the fields and the options inside them.Go to Admin panel → Games → Asset Properties → Manage to define them. Each field you create becomes a filter in Projects under Game space specific.Setting these up early is worth it, because every file you upload or generate afterwards can be tagged as it arrives, which keeps a library of thousands easy to search. See Workspace administration.
Custom properties apply to the files in Projects. They are separate from the filters in Competitor Research, which come with the market data rather than from you.

Invite your team

Go to Admin panel → User management → Invite users. Enter comma-separated email addresses, pick a Role, and select which Games the invitees can access.Access is granted per game, so you can bring a contractor into one title while keeping your other work private.

Request body templates when you need them

You can start building variations right away. Video Studio takes bodies from the competitor library or from your own gameplay that you upload, so nothing here holds you up.Request a template when you want to go a step further: to make AI variations of your own gameplay, or to turn a competitor’s gameplay into a copyright free version of your own.Go to Research & recreate → Body, find the bodies whose structure you want to borrow, and use Request template on each. The UAG team turns that gameplay into a template and delivers it back, ready for you to recreate with AI and adjust in the platform.Requests have a turnaround, so it helps to send a few early. See Request a body template.

Connect your ad accounts

This one matters when you are ready to publish, so it can wait until then.Go to Accounts in the main navigation and connect the platforms you advertise on: Meta Ads manager, Google Ads manager and YouTube.YouTube pairs with Google Ads, because your video ads are uploaded to the connected YouTube account before Google serves them.Connecting early means a finished batch can go live the same day. See Integrations.

Readiness checklist

Work down this list to get the most out of your game:
  • Your brand assets library holds your characters and key art
  • Your custom properties are defined, so new files can be tagged as they arrive
  • Your team has access to the game
  • Body templates requested, if you want to recreate gameplay
  • Meta and Google ad accounts show as Connected under Accounts
  • A YouTube account is connected, if you plan to run Google Ads
Only the ad account connections gate anything, and only at the point of publishing. You can research, recreate hooks and build variations before any of this is in place. Brand assets are what make your hooks look like your game, so that is the one worth doing first.
